Our Story
CoffeeNet runs its business activities with the ultimate objective to discover high quality coffee and develop a meaningful relationships with the farmers. This has been made possible in the Hawata Wet Mill Project in Uraga in which the partnerships formed with out-grower farmers consists of more than 524. Furthermore, we purchase high quality matured cherry from the hard working farming communities in the village of Layo Teraga. Our dry station is also located at Harsu kebelle in Uraga. It was set up with the aim of preparing and milling dry high quality natural micro lots with our installed dry mill.

Our Founders
Their passion for coffee led our founders Kebere Negash and Eyob Tesfaye to the coffee business. They had been processing washed and natural coffees and supplying it to local exporters until they started their own export company. Born and raised in Uraga, Kebere is one of the most prominent entrepreneurs in the area who aspires to impact the lives of his community in many ways. He is known for giving back to his community through projects like constructing wet mills, roads, schools and so much more for the community that raised him. Eyob Tesfaye, who is a graduate of economics from Addis Ababa University, had been working on marketing Ethiopian coffee as well as gaining trading skills through assisting cooperatives and wet mills. Initially, Eyob has worked at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as a Business Diplomat on various capacities. It is after this, that these two entrepreneurs started owning coffee sites and preparing coffee. Being part of the coffee producers family and their love for coffee made them decide to fully engage in the coffee business.

Our experience shows that by profiling micro coffee growing areas in a bid to collect mature red cherries and having it processed in our wet mill industry. By sourcing matured red cherry coffee we let our customers repeatedly enjoy the flavors of these areas specialty coffees in a consistent manner and we pay fair trade minimum price to our farmers to encourage them.
